~110 min via Hokuriku Shinkansen (Hakutaka) to Iiyama Station, then a ~30 min community bus (¥500) or taxi (~¥5,000) to Madarao.

From Narita Airport
Keisei Skyliner to Ueno (~1 hr), then the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Iiyama.

From Haneda Airport
Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho, then transfer to Tokyo Station (~20 min) for the Shinkansen to Iiyama.

From Iiyama Station
Direct local bus to Madarao, or taxi (~¥5,000, ~30 min).
